We received a call from Stephan, he's the French chef at Royal Plantation who we
knew from SMB. We decided to meet up with him around 12:00 pm on
4/27. When we arrived, Peter Fraser
greeted us. Debbie has spoke very highly of him
in the past so we were anxious to meet him also.
We sat down at a table and asked if
we wanted anything to drink. Stephan came in and sat with us also.
It was so good to see him and he's still that handsome chef we knew from
SMB. Stephan is married to Lisa and have a baby
boy. He had his pic on his phone and he's
adorable.
Mr. Fraser said that he hadn't been
feeling well due to kidney stones but he is now feeling better and introduced
us to our tour guide Jody Dixon. We were totally amazed with the place as
it is quiet and very private and very well manicured. Jody showed us a
couple of rooms, one was Room 106 Honeymoon Suite and the other one was Room
151 DeLuxe which is wheelchair accessible. Both
of these rooms were decorated nicely and we loved the colors. It was
amazing how the way the walkways winded around the gardens.
Jody then took us to the dining area
out on the terrace where there were other guests. A waiter came and
served us our drinks and gave us our menus and Stephan joined us a little late
as he had an emergency in the kitchen with one of the staff that had cut his
fingers on broken glass. I had a salad with fish and augratin
potatoes and Bill had a salad with shrimp and a wheat
grit.
The food was great and plentiful and
the atmosphere was wonderful. We can see why Todd and Debbie love this
place and keep coming back.
